Suggestion for tumb drives!
I was think over about how to effectively remind a person at a computer terminal to take his or her tumb drive! I would suggest if it is possible, when a user logout from a computer, it should promt the user that it has left a tumb drive or CD or what ever extras which does not belong to the computer.
Method to detect this is that when ever you plug a tumb drive or place a CD in a drive. There will be a change in the My Computer. If it were a tumb drive, an extra drive letter would pop-up thus making it a device not belongin to the computer. It would first detect a template of what the computer has installed and compare it with anything updated both exit/log off.
If this device is not plug out, it will refuse the user from login out, maybe to alert the user would be to give it a loud beep either from the PC speaker or Headphones or turning the screen bright Red or Yellow or Flashing, somthing to alret the user.
Lastly it could be also possible to have a log of what the previous user had plug-in so as to maybe use to refer for lost and found. Its an idea I believe possible and can be programed and easily installed as a background application.
This is a suggestion only, and idea which i tot of for sometime~

thumbdrive
my 512mb thumbdrive was ‘dead’. (dead in the sense that files in it always get corrupted. )
so i decided to get a new one.
shop around and made up my mind to buy the 1gb sony thumbdrive which only cost me 19bucks (: the design is sooooo cool too! love it~
the previous 512mb thumbdrive which is another brand cost me 38bucks when i got it 1+ year ago at sim lim. i tot the price was pretty affordable then. now i think it’s not worth.
do you see the point? learn my lesson and not buy IT gadgets when they just release to the market. cos after some time, their values will drop like crazy when it’s common everywhere.
pic credit to sony.
PIN NUMBER REVERSAL
—– PIN NUMBER REVERSAL (GOOD TO KNOW)
If you should ever be forced by a robber to withdraw money from an ATM machine, you can notify the police by entering your Pin # in reverse.
For example if your pin number is 1234 then you would put in 4321. The ATM recognizes that your pin number is backwards from the ATM card you placed in the machine.
The machine will still give you the money you requested, but unknown to the robber, the police will be immediately dispatched to help you.
This information was recently broadcasted on TV and it states that it is seldom used because people don’t know it exists.
Please pass this along to everyone possible.

Solution to printing shop virus!
Hi All, been check up the fourm here! Seem a lot of hype on the virus that makes files go MISSING! Well nothing to worry about, your files are just HIDDEN! Yes, Hidden!! What the virus does is it hides your files and make fake file which you would execute aka open, which help spread the virus more. They normally name this fake file the same name as your hidden folders thus making you unaware.
no worries! I got hit too~ so manytimes I that i slove it each time effortlessly~ hahaha~
As I have done a reply on another post. This is the same solution.
To find your files its easy! firstly try to get to a computer with an updated anti-virus software. If you don’t have an Anti-Virus Software I would suggest AVG Anti-Virus Free Edition 7.5 it FREE and it FOREVER!!! Once the virus has been removed, follow the fellowing steps!
-
- Open “My Computer”
- Click “Tools” then “Folder Options…”
- Click on the Tab “View”
- Under “Advance Settings:”
- Look for “Hidden files and folders”
- Select “Show hidden files and folders”
- Click “OK”
- DONE! you can now see your files!
- Last step is to unhide the files, select the files which look semi-transparent,
- right click then click “properties”
- Uncheck “Hidden and Read-only” and Check “Achive” if dun have “achive” then just Uncheck “Hidden and Read-only” and you are done!
Hope this will help! coz many people have tot that they lost all their data, but it was actually hidden.
Updatez!!!
I have also create and uploaded the image of the step by step solution!

That TROJAN virus go infect my mp3 last night when i needa hand-in my Final Report to my teacher and the deadline is 5pm !!! i went to engine lvl 3 tht printing shop and both the PC cant scan my mp3 thumbdrive, that auntie still say as if confirm is my thumbdrive problem…. in the end cant get the report printed out…. today morning tried using my fren’s mp3 and the same thing happens…. Most Probably Came Frm Porn D/Lers
I found out a way to extract ur files. If the PC is able to detect ur thumbdrive, to go tools, folder options, view tab, under hidden files and folders, and click show hidden folders and apply…. Now copy ur stuffs to ur destop, if the stuffs looks translucent, select the files right click properties, untick ‘hidden’.
