After 3yrs of study! I learn somthing, a bad habit most of us might have!
Procrastination – is a type of behaviour which is characterised by deferment of actions or tasks to a later time.
(Simply put it, we like to do last min work!)
So does anyone have a way to fight this? Maybe we should have a topic on this in Year 1 to help fix the problem when we are in year 3. Rather then current me still finding a way to break this habit. hahaa~ well lets see your responds!

Temasek Polytechnic has been my second home for the past 3 years. I’ve spent almost every day in this educational institution acquiring new knowledge, and on certain days, even more time in school than at home. Temasek Polytechnic is filled with interesting sights and sounds, dedicated lecturers and tutors, and a huge number of CCAs.
I would admit my years in school haven’t been that smooth-flowing, although I did overcome those difficulties with perseverance and grit, emerging a more matured and composed person. There were peers who influenced me upon the wrong path and although I’ve walked down them, I did backtrack and set myself right again. I’ve since stopped hang around them and have moved on to better peers.
Away from school, I’m currently running a small business and I feel that has allowed me to understand the importance of certain subjects I’ve studied as I am able to apply what I’ve learnt to my business. This has enabled me to appreciate what I’m studying and feel like my time in school isn’t wasted, like what some of my peers tell me. Thus, I daresay I’ve never skipped neither lecture nor tutorial before and have a perfect attendance record… till this final semester.
Through my semesters in school, both tutors and lecturers have been very helpful and kind to me and have always been around to lend a helping hand with our projects and assist us with our tutorials. And because of such dedication, I can proudly declare that I’ve never failed any subject nor taken any supplementary papers before, although my GPA hasn’t been very high either.
On the whole, I’m very glad and didn’t regret my choice for entering Temasek Polytechnic

“Tea Session on NUS Scholarships and Courses
Congratulations on your outstanding achievements in the polytechnic! We would like to invite you for a tea session on the scholarships and courses offered at NUS
blah blah blah”
This came by mail about a week ago and I’ve been excited ever since. The tea sessions will be held later at 3.45pm. NTU didn’t have such an event although they did have a series of talks at the Suntec Convention hall on Saturday. But I feel that going down to the school is better as we would be able to get a feel of the surroundings and studying environment.
Take NTU for example, I’ve been on a bus around the campus before noticed the hostel area looks quite unsightly… with clothes / undergarments being hung out to dry and people walking around in boxers and all that.
Well anyway the application for NUS has begun already, and will last through 20th February. Good luck for those who want to apply

Last friday, there was the TP career fair at the Auditorium. Well, I must say that it certainly was interesting to walk around and talk to the different companies about their jobs available. Some of the companies were giving out good freebies too. Well so my friends and I attended a few talks by the companies, before having to go for my NAPFA.
When I went to register for it, it had started to rain. So the guy said to wait for a while first. My partner and I then hung around there to watch a secondary school volleyball tournament. Probably the east zones. Well the standard of the guys’ volleyball was okay while those of the girls seem a bit poor.
But anyway, after 2 hours the guy said that we could take the NAPFA if we wanted but it wouldn’t count as it was raining and we couldn’t run our 2.4km on the same day, but we could try out and see what award we’d get if we were to do the real thing.
So my partner and I went back to the Career Fair to walk around somemore. We went for the NUS admission talk. And after listening to it, decided that NUS was still the best choice for our further education. NTU seems full China and India students (just my observation), and according to my cousin, people who fail their GP but still got good results are able to enter that university.
But anyway, my final choice will be NUS as the degree of my choice is there.

On Saturday night, I went out with a few friends to clarke quay for dinner and a drink. And after a few hours we got bored and decided to go clubbing. Well, one of my favourite sights while clubbing are the cars. But there were no flashy cars there that night, only thrashy ones.
Well, we went in, got a few drinks, and came out after a while due to the lousy atmosphere inside. We sat outside by the curb, took a smoke and basically just slacked around. Suddenly, we saw 2 military-looking Toyota Land Cruisers blaring their horns and edging their way through the crowd into the MOS private carpark.
What was surprising was that the car plates were just a TMJ. My friends were dumbfounded but I immediately assumed they were US Navy SEALS or something, docking at Singapore to watch the SuperBowl. Those Toyota Land Cruisers certainly were a sight to behold – modified suspensions, exhaust pipes, wheels, rims.
Well anyway the club was very boring that night and we went in again before eventually going home.
i can’t believe that CNY is approaching fast!! time really passes by so fast when you don’t notice it.. whoa…

Last month, 2 other friends and I went to the Singapore Indoor Stadium to watch the Singapore Slingers in action. For those of you who don’t know what that is, the Singapore Slingers is the Singapore basketball team in the Australian basketball league.
Normally I wouldn’t have gone but since my friend had 2 spare tickets, my other friend and I went. And woah, I must say the match was pretty exciting. Not as good as NBA standard, but exciting in its own way. The mood of the crowd was electrifying, with some hardcore fans screaming their lungs at every play.
I think the star of the Singapore Slingers is Ron Grizzard, as he seemed more popular with the fans and was like the Kobe Bryant of the Slingers. Making shots, grabbing rebounds, dishing assists, running at the defence, creating shooting opportunities. Everything.
The match ended with them winning 113 – 102 again some team with a weird name, which for the life of me I can’t seem to recall. But the important thing is Singapore won
