fellow TP student Averil Tan from project superstar2 of channel u’s show, is claimed by Steven lim (ya, chee long zhu), a local eyebrow trimmer to be a liar. watch the following clip and be the judge!

This is what I think. I think that Steven’s words are quite dubios, and that Averil whould come out and settle everything on TV. How about you?

Stress – management
26 November, 2006, 10:44 pm
Filed under: Student Life in TP

A lecturer, when explaining stress management to an audience, raised
a glass of water and asked, “how heavy is this glass of water? “

Answers called out ranged from 20g to 500g.

The lecturer replied, “the absolute weight doesn’t matter.” It depends
on how long you try to hold it.

If I hold it for a minute, that’s not a problem.
If I hold it for an hour, I’ll have an ache in my right arm.
If I hold it for a day, you’ll have to call an ambulance.
In each case, it’s the same weight, but the longer I hold it, the
heavier it becomes.
And that’s the way it is with stress management.
If we carry our burdens all the time, sooner or later, as the burden
becomes increasingly heavy, we won’t be able to carry on.

As with the glass of water, you have to put it down for a while and
rest before holding it again. When we’re refreshed, we
can carry on with the burden.
So, before you return home tonight, put the burden of work down.
Don’t carry it home. You can pick it up tomorrow.
Whatever burdens you’re carrying now, let them down for a moment if you can.
Relax; pick them up later after you’ve rested.

Project judging
25 November, 2006, 12:41 pm

My project preliminary judging is yesterday.. The CU head came late, and shot afew rounds of dunno-what-so-ever nonsense at our faces, leaving us breathless- why? His questions were totally (and I mean totally) not related to the project at all..

Before we could answer his question, he shoved another question in our faces. Pissed off, I kept quiet to avoid a disaster.. He is wrong in the first place for being late(for two whole hours mind you!) and instead of apologizing as the first word, he dashed in and ranted non stop at our project, without knowing what my project is about..

AND when he asks about my project, he interrupted as if he knew everything, and complaints later that I did not tell him the information he needed~ CRAP! The fact that he is busy is understood, but what he did was just plain rude, and uncouth, simply barbaric. Coming in and slaughter our project like no body’s business.

I hope that he will change for his best.. For his own good, his student’s good, and of course, ultimately his car’s overall well-being. Lucky for me, I know what I am doing, and I am going to do my best for this final judging, this coming wednesday..

Anyone has their own share of preliminary experience? Wanna share in this blog? lolx.. Afterall, this has been a fun journey for me, despite the shooting.. haha..

but i juz received mail that if we dun exchange for new cards by 20 dec, we will nid to pay $10 for the new card.
i was tinking, i’m doing my last semester, the only times i will nid to present my matriculation card are term test & exam time. moreover, the invigilators onli nid to see tt the foto on the card matches u & tt’s it. so i’m wondering, what will happen if i dun change the card?
